Tips and Strategies |
Choosing a ship will be interesting. Ships with heavy gun mounts are available, but there's a great amount of risk for a moderate amount of reward. For example, do you really want four Heavy Flaks equipped on your Galleon, especially when incendiary ammo is the only available choice? If the enemy gets close to you, your guns are rendered impotent. Then again, if you can land shots on the enemy to support your allies... kaboom!
Incendiary ammunition increases the chance of setting fires, but it also significantly reduces a weapon's range and firing rate. When do you use it? On what weapons? At what range? Two crew mates can't bring fire fighting tools, so do they bring buff kits instead? And once a fire does break out, if no anti-fire countermeasures are nearby, it's up to the crew to either nurse the component to prevent its destruction or let it burn out. If it's critical, yes, the pilot or Exgineer™ can come to extinguish the blaze, but will the pilot be carrying an extinguisher or chemical spray? And do you really want your captain away from the helm? |
