Gods and Monsters
Description |
Mortals have taken the gods for granted for far too long! With lightning and flame, the ancients will dominate this world once more! Insolent captains and their cowering crews will beg for mercy...
|
What makes this special? |
There are no Gatling guns for speedy armor stripping and there are no Carronades or Lumberjacks for easy balloon popping. Specialized ammunition won't be helpful for altering the range at which engagements can occur because greased and Lesmok are banned. Essentially, there's no medium range in this fight: weapons are either effective at long range and ineffective at close range or the reverse. Furthermore, your only available ammunition options, while thematically appropriate for this rule set, are also typically underused and do not greatly benefit most of the available weapons. The Gods must be feeling spiteful.

Tips and Strategies |
The combination of available weapons and ammunition options in this rule set make it difficult to choose a divinely inspired loadout. The Hwacha and Artemis are typically very effective because of burst ammunition, but this rule set bans burst ammo, so prescient captains will likely place less emphasis on these weapons. Heavy Flak, the Mercury, and Mine Launcher in particular benefit from the available ammunition options. Lochnager can also be effective in the Mortar and Hades (from what I've heard, at least). You'll receive little guidance from the holy books to prepare you for this battle. What will your fate be?
