Tips and Strategies |
The obvious thing to do is use heavy clip as your initial ammo to destroy components like engines, guns, and balloons efficiently from as far away as possible. Maintaining this range would be ideal, but ships will likely close to shorter ranges as the battle unfolds. When that happens, you'll have to decide at what moment to switch your ammo type. When you're close to an enemy, the extra precision provided by heavy clip no longer matters and it's better to have the larger clip afforded by normal rounds.
The best way to get an edge over the enemy will be by intelligently targeting components and ships, switching ammo when appropriate, and reloading at the best moments. Remember, red hit markers indicate that the enemy component being targeted has been destroyed (be it armor, balloon, engine, or gun), so it might be wise to target a different component immediately or begin the reloading process to prepare for when that component module is rebuilt. Alternatively, you can target a different ship entirely. Communicating with your crew and team will allow maximum efficiency. |
